Challenge

I decided that my challenge quilt was a little bland (!) so, prompted by Tina, I thought I would add a few embellishments.  As you can see I got a bit carried away!  My photo is suffering a little from sun glare but I am really pleased with it now.

I've had the results of my chest x-ray today and it's clear so the doctor is now telling me I have an allergy so I have to persevere with some therapies and see how it goes.  Who would believe, suddenly allergic, maybe to atmospheric changes, at my age?

I was going to post this photo a few days ago and chickened out but I was reminded of it tonight by Tom.  So, this one's for you Tom!  As you can see DH has his cupboard and spends most evenings there while I sit on the settee with my laptop! Ain't love grand?! lol

This puts a new spin on "cupboard love" all right...
The contrast of the definite lines of the embellishments and the hazy colours works well on the quilt - good result!

Love the quilt Julie. You have my sympathy where allergies are concerned. I'm allergic to three types of antibiotics and it makes life difficult but you do get used to it.

Glad your xray was ok..must be a relief for you, although you have my sympathies with the allergy thing. My mum has had a small cough for the last 50 years, and has just been diagnosed with asthma aged 85!! It's obviously an allergy to something but goodness knows what and it doesn't cause her any problems as such. I hope it will be easy to find out what you're allergic too, so you can avoid it....hope it's not something essential to life like wine or choc!

The quilt is lovely. I love the colours. Says Harmony to me.

The quilt is lovely you are very clever. Still once you know what you are allergic to then you can protect against it I guess. Take care.

The quilt is gorgeous Julie and I'm glad the xray was clear. At least you and your husband are in the same room - mine is downstairs in front of the TV and I am upstairs blogging! But we have been out together all day today.

Glad your x-ray was fine and hope your allergy is soon sorted out. I love your sumptuous, colourful quilt and its embellishments bring it to life. Also like the husband in the cupboard idea. You can just wheel him out when he is needed! Just joking and its nice that you work in the same room.

Your quilt looks amazing Julie - I love it, no wonder you are delighted. Good news about the X-Ray - at least you can cope easier when you know what the problem is. Love the 'cupboard love' pic!

Julie, I am a friend of Elizabeth's and she won your gorgeous Journal Quilt. What a bbbbbbeautiful piece! :0) Love it!
Your quilting is wonderful and has a movement and feel to it! FUN!
Also, I admired your snow dying as a friend of mine, Laura Krasinski just did some snow dying and it came out great too! Gotta make use of that snow somehow! Hehehe!

I have not posted on my blog in forever, so if you go to find some recent artwork, you will not see much.....go into older posts and you will have more luck! This Holiday season has taken all my time away! But I hope to get back to some art soon. I have missed it!

Nice to meet you through Elizabeth!
Hugs,Patti
P.S. Sorry to hear about the allergies, but better that than something more serious! Hang in there!
