Disintegration - I almost forgot!

I almost forgot that today is the first review date for the bundles of papers placed in the garden as part of Seth's Disintegration project earlier in the year. The images of my bundles in their original state can be seen by clicking on the second link highlighted above.

This is the first bundle I put out and from this side it doesn't look a great deal different.

~
From the other side you can see that the dye in the mopping up cloth has indeed run. Without X-ray vision I can't tell what is happening on the inside but I am going to wait for another couple of months to let the elements play a bit longer.
~
~
The bundle above is the bundle in the belfast sink and is showing some signs of change but, again, this will be left undisturbed until the great unveiling later in the summer. The third bundle is currently looking unchanged and is pretty much covered by the lilac bush which has grown up round it.

~
This package is an extra one I put out which I forgot to photograph in its original state, but you can see the ravages of it being regularly doused in water everytime it rains, not that we've had a lot of rain over the last month.
~
All of these bundles, and another 123 plus besides around the world, will be unveiled and the pieces incorporated into an artwork later in the year. If you would like to see what other bundles there are go to Seth's blog and check out his sidebar for the before and after links.

It must be really hard to have to wait so long to see what has happened to the bundles. I am far too impatient.

Fascinating. I'm not sure how I missed this one. I haven't managed to get excited about all the decaying catalogues but this somehow seems different!

I love the things you do, Julie! In fact, I've taken a big deep breathe this evening and cut into the beautiful snow-dyed fabric you sent to me - hopefully I'll have something to show for it tomorrow!

I misread your final paragraph and thought you'd got an additional 123 bundles in your garden!! Note to self: where are my glasses?

It's great to see some change has happened to your bundle Julie, mine hasn't changed much at all. I still haven't taken photos of mine yet, but I hope to have it on my blog tomorrow.

My comment disappeared, not sure what happened! Anyway, I was just saying that I forgot about this experiment too!! How long are you going to leave it Julie?

Boy you really got into it. Multiple bundles. Good luck on all of them.

I did not have the foresight to make more than one bundle so I do envy the number of design elements you will have to create the renewal project. You have some wonderful design possibilities and I will be so happy when August 1st arrives. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen

Thanks for looking in Rachel, Ginny and Mary Helen. I'm hoping we'll get a bit more rain before I open up my bundles. You're right Mary Helen, I am looking forward to using the most interesting parts of the different bundles.
