Happy Birthday Kid Brother! (Belated - blame Blogger)

This post should have gone up while I was away on 15th but I did something wrong and Blogger didn't get the message! Doh! Sorry bro but I couldn't resist!

He's going to kill me when he sees this but, Happy Birthday, Dave! As you can see there's not much of an age gap between my brother and me, just over a year. We used to fight like cat and dog as kids (as siblings do) and then he had to put up with me trailing along with him and his mates when they were trying to play snooker at home or go for a swim at the beach. Anyway, this little boy retires from the RAF this week after 40 years' (give or take a few months) service man and boy, or should that be boy and man?! He has been mentioned in despatches and received a Medal for Meritorious Service this year for his services to the RAF. My brother, and I love him to bits! Happy Birthday Dave! Hope it's a good one.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my blog. I hope you enjoyed your hols! Seeing the photo of you and your brother and your comments about him inspired me to look for an old photo of my brother and pause to reflect on what he had become too. So thanks for the opportunity to reminiss - I wouldn't have done it without your blog.
