We have had some sad news today. Our dear friend and neighbour, who had the fall before Christmas, passed away last night. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday on 1 April. I last saw her about a week ago in hospital and she was quite frail then but we were able to have a chat. She was a lovely, lively lady who loved her family and her garden and I will miss her. It's always sad to lose a friend even if they lived a long life. Life is never long enough when you care about someone.
