Look at all the goodies I got this morning!! I went to our local garden centre to get some copper plant labels and found they were having a sale in the craft section! Fancy that - and me with birthday money to spend :o)) Lots of lovely embossing powders to play with.
I've worked a few stitches onto the canvas I started on Sunday. Lynda told me it would be tricky sewing through gessoed canvas so I found a good strong needle. She wasn't wrong! I wouldn't like to do a lot of this. I am hoping that when I start to paint some of the silver in the thread will show through.

I have finally finished my page for July in my shadowing of the Bead Journal Project. I put in some muti-coloured running stitches and closed the stitches round the S and I'm happy with it now. On to August........

What an interesting blog, Julie! Thanks for your comment on mine, which led me to yours. The pile of goodies makes my fingers itch!

The technique with the copper plant tags sounds great - guess where I will be going at the weekend? I'm sure all the garden centres with be heaving with ladies requesting these tags soon, it makes me smile just thinking about the bewilderment of the staff :)

Your page looks nice from what I can see. I tried to make it larger but it wouldn't cooperate! lol.

I wonder about making holes in the gessoed canvas with a stiletto or somesuch before you stitch? Might make life easier?
