you can't find your mobile that you've just been using and it turns up on the landline charging dock!
Doh!!! At least it's given us a laugh :-))
I'm pleased to say we have brought Mum safely up to Lincolnshire today. She was a bit bewildered but still happy to be just up the road from us all now. She arrived at her new home in the middle of a sherry party for one of the residents so there were more people than usual in the lounge but she had a little sing song with the birthday girl so that was nice. My DH had spent part of the morning getting her room ready for her while my brother and I went to Essex to fetch her so the room looked lovely with things that she'll recognise and some flowers. Thank you hun. I wasn't going to go and see her till Tuesday but I think I'll have to go tomorrow just to reassure her (and myself) that we're close by.
Chocolate? What chocolate?! ;-))

Oh, you sweetheart! I'm sure your mum will settle & then so will you. Just caught up with your last post, poor you, so many decisions to make.
I hope your Mum settles in ok, it will be so much easier for you now she is close to you. Remember to look after yourself as well.
Hope it all goes well. And you deserve the chocolate. Looking forward to catching up on Saturday!
Absolutely hilarious Julie. Well done. Oh, and I noticed the chocolate before the phone!
The faeries put it there so you'd have a light moment or two before getting back to the business of moving your mom. Glad she seemed to like the place. That's a good start. I'd say you should have a whole bag and/or box of chocolate/s around just now. Call it your survival kit.
Life is always better with chocolate. Sounds like this will be a perfect spot for Mumand your DH, what a dear to have prettied up the roo for you, he deserves a big hug. xox Corrine
What a relief for you Julie. What ever problems you have to resolve, at least you know your Mum is in a safe place.
My husband has never lived down the time we were all hunting for his specs and one of the children noticed them on top of his head! Glad your Mum has moved to her new Home - she will soon get used to her new surroundings and life will be so much easier now she is closer to you.
Always such a hard decision but I'm sure Mum will settle in beautifully.
Thank you so much for the comment about my links! Obvious now I look at it - very, very embarrassed.
Thanks again, Julie. :-)
i hope you get some happy moments with your mother.
What a hard decision but I'm sure she'll be happy and so will you. That chocolate must have helped!!
Glad you found the phone - how silly of it to put itself there!!Hope Mum is settling okay and now you can relax knowing she is nearby.
I'm so glad moving your mum went well. Maybe you can have a little time to yourself for a quiet cuppa now.
Julie, So happy that she is now close by so that you have more peace. Hugs
I'm so glad your Mum is back near you all. If she joined in the birthday sing song that seems to be a very good sign she will settle down there. Hugs
