Musical Magic

As part of the cruise, entertainment was laid on every night and on two of the evenings we were treated to the immense talent of Greg Scott a very tall and gifted violinist. I didn't know what to expect from a solo violinist but this guy really made his violin talk. Hopefully I have done this right and you will be able to click on the YouTube excerpt below and get a taste of his virtuosity.

And if that's not enough have a listen to his "Ashoken Farewell" which brought a lump to my throat.

Needless to say we bought the CD and it's a lovely reminder of a fantastic musician and a great holiday.

Thanks for the reminder of Greg Scott. We encoutered him on a Fred Ilsen cruise last summer, and thought he was fantastic.
I'm not a blogger, but enjoy dipping in occasionally to others.

I have repeatedly tried, without success, to leave comments on your earlier posts without being able to raise the comments box. Today I have done it! Your cruise looks fantastic and the photographs are so beautiful. Glad you are having such a good time and hope you come home refreshed and invigorated. Lovely music - thanks for sharing.
