The crossing out thingy

I said I would post the details of how to do the crossing out thingy so here goes! I have to thank Moogsmum and Monkee Maker for originally posting the method for this. Say you write "I hate housework" when you meant "love" you do this:
#
I (del)hate(/del) love housework. However instead of using ( ) brackets you use < > for the brackets. If I did that here you would only see the crossed out word! You actually see the crossed out word when you post your blog.
#
I hate love housework! Ta dah!!! (It's not true! I hate housework!! lol)

Thanks for that. It reminds me of when I first learnt word processing - before Windows.

SO this only shows after posting on the blog and not on your word Doc?

Deemom, I've just tried it on a word doc and it didn't work. I'm no expert tho, all I know is what I picked up from Moogsmum, as described here and which works on the blog.

Thanks Julie, I will continue to experiment ;)

you can also use (s) and (/s) (for strikethrough) - of course, using the pointy brackets, as with (del). it's an HTML tag - if, while you are editing your blog, you switch to HTML view and then back to compose view, the strikethrough should show even before you publish. (this is because, when you switch to html view, blogger picks up on the (s) and (/s) as being html tags and converts them. you won't notice it in compose mode, but stuff like bold has similar tags around it (b) at the start and (/b) at the finish. and just fyi, you use a similar method to be able to link straight to something in a comment left on a blog - like if I said, come visit my blog which is here.
