Autumn

I thought you might like to see a few of the photos I took today on a very cold but enjoyable walk round the parkland at Belton House.   I think it must be the amount of rain we had earlier in the year that is giving us such a glorious Autumn this year.  With the sun shining beautifully today the colours were stunning!

It's coming to something when you have to apologise for nature!

Experimenting with angles.

Not a clue what these pretty toadstools are but I don't think I'd eat them.

You'd think from that rucksack he was stalking someone but, no, it's just a photo opportunity.

I'm not sure whether this is a handkerchief or a tulip tree but it looked stunning today.

Thanks to some advice from Mark Highton-Ridley I have been experimenting with taking photos on 'Aperture Priority' and I'm liking the results.  Thank you Mark!

It's been very cold here too, and today it's sunny. Nice weather. Enjoy your Sunday!

Great shots Julie! - giving HO a run for his money (but I'm sure you have his money already! lol). Tell him he should get a camera with a flip-out screen (not that I have one!)

Autumn is upon us very suddenly this year - a decided nip in the air over the last week. I love the last photo with the bright blue peaking between the golden leaves and the dark structure of the branches.

Wonderful photos Julie - I love the fungi and thanks for sharing them. The colours are lovely this year, aren't they?
I'd be nervous of lying down to take shots even though it would be worthwhile - I'd have a struggle getting up again!

Great photographs Julie. Must experiment with the settings myself. Know how to use them but tend to rely on trusty old Intelligent Auto.
Know what you mean about the spam - thinking of putting word verification back on myself!

Lovely pictures. That's the first time I've seen an apology for puddles.
